Hugs for Harley

You'd never know that the baby in this video had a high fever! She had such a good time, despite being terribly sick at Aunt Megan's house because she got to play with Charlie's awesome toys and best of all, there was a very patient "doggy" who graciously accepted hundreds of hugs from her.

Mitt's New Playhouse

Riley shows off her new playhouse/slide. Grandma Carol brought this over for Riley to play with last week and it's been a favorite of Riley's since then.

She has fun toting her toys in and out of the structure and sending items down the slide. She's also careful to always shut the door behind her - it seems to bother her when anyone leaves a door ajar.

Furniture Climbing

Riley can now get on chairs by herself. This means she can also move them around the dining room and use them to climb on the table (literally sitting on top of the table).

Last Sunday, I found her sitting one of the dining chairs. Looking both proud, but serene and I couldn't resist taking a few photos before she moved.

Here she is playing with her two, current favorite things: Containers (purses, bags, storage containers, plastic packaging), and necklaces.

Post-Bath-Baby-Snuggle

Last Friday Riley got to spend a whole morning relaxing with Grandma! She even played baby and allowed her grandma to hold her for awhile in her towel after her bath time. It's a rare moment when she'll sit still!

Gymnastics 3, Her First Somersault

Riley did her first forward roll. The teacher spotted her the first time and when I helped her do the next somersault, she remembered just how to tuck her head in and keep her arms straight. So much fun!

Gymnastics 2, Riley tries the bars

Riley had fun hanging from the bar. She enjoyed hanging in a basket position and also enjoyed pulling her feet up and surprising me by just dropping from the bar.

A special thank you is owed to Riley's grandma, Margaret, who drove a long way and was kind enough to photograph Riley at class!

Riley Starts Gymnastics

Riley started gymnastics this June. So far she's had a lot of fun and we hope she'll eventually catch on to following instructions. For now she's loving the fun tricks, obstacle courses and seeing other kids her age.

Here she gets some help with her "donkey kicks" on the trampoline.

Riley enjoys running down the 30 tumble track trampoline, she hasn't quite gotten the idea that you can bounce on it, though she doesn't have quite enough weight to make it bounce yet!

Riley crawls through the foam pit with her gymnastics classmates. She often takes advantage of this time to give out hugs.

Riley tries out the balance beam.

Halfway there!

We finally took a pregnant-sister pic. We're 20 weeks and halfway there now. Expecting two girl-cousins, less than a week apart.

October will be a crazy month! Ri is going to be a big sister and a big-cousin. She has no clue what's coming.

Lou Seal Spotting

Riley attended the Giants game on Memorial day. The seats were in the first row of the section, so Riley had a great view of everything going on from her railing. Lou Seal visited the section and she had so much fun people watching and seeing Lou Seal.

Basketball Lessons

Last weekend, Dad showed Riley how to handle the ball and dribble and shoot. This might be the makings of a college scholarship!

Stinson Beach

You know you're at a Northern California beach when it's late May and your two sweatshirts aren't enough to stay warm.

Riley was actually shivering at our short stay at Stinson Beach. She did have a good time running around with dad when she got over how chilly it was.

Mom needs to work some magic

Riley has a beautiful dress for a wedding she's in next month. Her first wedding and the dress is beautiful, but it's gigantic on her, it might fit if she wears 9 inch heels, but that won't solve the off-the-shoulder strap issue. Mom's going to try to disassemble and reassemble and work some magic!
