It's All About Moi!

Riley is wearing her new, adorable shirt from aunt Megan. And showing off her late night bubble skills. She has actually successfully blown bubbles several times and enjoys the whole process.

Eventually, I will have the energy to take some real photos on a real camera. In the meantime, I'm still trying to get a few photos of what we've been up to, with my crummy cell phone camera.

A stroller for two

After a day of tummy trouble for Ali and a busy day that still wasn't busy enough, for Riley, we decided to take a walk before bed.

We walked around our neighborhood, which is a little less exciting now that the Christmas decorations and lights are no more.

After Riley seemed to be a little bored of walking near me and pushing sis in the stroller, I decided it might be fun to try out a ride on the front step of the stroller. Sure enough, this was the perfect seat for a ride and Riley enjoyed seat with a view. We walked nearly a mile around the neighborhood with both girls riding along on the stroller. Ali fell asleep and Riley went to bed very happily when we got home.

Shh! Don't tell the Safety Committee...

...but I couldn't resist letting Riley push her baby sister around in her new doll stroller. This was too adorable to pass up!

Happy New Year from Jethro Tull!

Jethro Tull made an appearance on New Year's Eve to serenade the baby cousins. I don't think they were as impressed by Riley's Aqualung, but they obliged her nonetheless!

Happy 2011 everyone!

Post-Party Slump!

You can tell that the fun of Ri's party had taken a toll on her by the time we got these last few photos. We caught her trying to ride on her striped, stuffed horse (adorable!) that her great grandparents gave her and shortly after that her grandpa got her out the gift he made me for my 2nd birthday. A beautiful and very sturdy rocking horse.

Here Riley and aunt Heidi try out the rocking horse, using Riley's last ounce of energy.

Even Baby B'dah looks a little drained as she waives to the camera.

Happy Birthday Miss Riley!

Riley turned two last week and we celebrated on New Year's Eve with her second birthday. We had about 35 people there to celebrate her big day and had a blast opening presents and eating food with friends and family. I made a chocolate cake with french cherry filling and covered the cake in thin homemade fondant and used metallic luster powders, gold sugar and edible pearls to make it extra fancy for Ri's special day.

Celebration turned to mayhem when Riley opened her dancing frog that sings a song about "shaking it" and then actually dances from side to side. She was giddy with every emotion and enjoyed setting off the toy and dancing with it.

A special thank you to belongs to her grandparents for hosting the wonderful party and for her grandparents that watched her before the party so I could set up. Her big day would also not happened if it weren't for my Aunt, Uncle and two cousins who came and helped with all the last minute-set-up work. Thank you so much everyone!
