Teton Village Tram

On Friday, July 6, we had a nice and leisurely day. We went out to a late breakfast, bought Riley a hat and a pair of sunglasses and we headed to Teton Village.

I had only been here in the snow - and up to the top of the mountain with a snowboard for the return trip. It was really pretty in the summer, everything was green and looked like we were in Switzerland.

The weather at the top was so comfortable, it was sleeting and hailing and almost snowing and I was finally not feeling overheated in a t-shirt.

We wandered around and decided to get a waffle and hot cocoas (pretty much the only food available in the little building at the top). It started to hail and there was lighting and thunder getting closer. We sat outside on benches and enjoyed the hot cocoas - though the hail was big enough to make splashes in our cups.

Even after I decided I was tired and ready for the trip back down, the tram was delayed because the lighting and thunder was so close and the people operating the tram recommended I not wait on the all-metal platform. So we practiced patience and enjoyed the beautiful view for awhile longer while soaking in the cold weather.
